I have always been frustrated when my laptop battery dies out on me especially when I am nowhere near an AC and just got an idea for a new blog. Most of the times ideas or work comes to you at the most ridiculous times and you need to get to them fast.

The Turbo Battery technology used on the MSI GX600-08 laptop lets the laptop operate on the Turbo Battery Mode, which it’ll automatically follow the processor, to adjust the programs that are being used and either stop or lower the parts that are not being used or running. In such a case, the electricity will get fairly distributed among the ports, USB interfaces and other peripherals etc, which will be able to achieve the goal of saving energy and the battery life gets extended.

Once switching back the laptop to AC mode by plugging it to AC source and pressing the turbo button above the keyboard, the laptop’s Turbo Drive Engine Technology will kick off, which simultaneously increases the speed of the CPU and the system up to 20%. And it can run smoothly to the very best of its abilities.

This MSI new premiere notebook has an overall design meant more for gamers. It’s equipped with the best NVIDIA Geforce 8600M GT 3D graphic card (Build-in 512 VRAM) and exclusive MSI vivid image enhancement technology can create the most astonishingly realistic audio and visual effects.

The GX600-08 features the latest Intel® Centrino® Duo Mobile Technology, which uses Intel® Core™2 Duo processor and Intel® PM965 Express Chipset, to deliver truly outstanding dual-core performance computing power, great battery life, and expanded wireless connectivity.

Other multimedia applications include: the latest E- SATA support, high-definition multimedia interface, 1.3 mega pixels web cam for better internet chatting, DTV receiver (optional) so you can watch television shows on demand. All these to help you with a total relaxed environment so you can regroup again for the challenges ahead. Furthermore, wireless functions for easy internet connections anywhere and anytime.

There seems to be non-stop USB fun coming to your desk. After a few of the birds, the toilets, the music stations, now you get a little USB White Mike Tyson to throw punches for you on behalf. The desktop USB boxer is to be hooked up to your computer’s USB port. And you can control its fists to throw punches against the little punching sack by using your keyboard’s left and right keys.

The up and down keys on your keyboard will make it to rotate its base, which is a turntable. The USB boxer also keeps and displays on your screen for how many successful punches that you’ve landed through him. Simply fun to have on your office, once your nasty boss has screwed up your day and this is where you can simply throw punches to release your anger.

The price of this little gadget is £29.99 .

So is it worth getting this little piece of gadget to keep you happy by your PC when you burn that night oil. I leave this decision up to you guys . Below is a Video of how this things works.

philips-and-lite-on-digital-first-external-blu-ray-drive-020308.jpg

It seems now only those into Blu-ray discs and devices manufacturing are producing the first external Blu-ray drive. This is probably due to they have just won the HD/DVD and Blu-ray format war and now their position in the market is certain. The first external Blu-ray drive is produced by PLDS or Philips and Lite-On Digital Solutions. The drive is a USB connected (USB 2.0) BD-ROM drive that is capable of reading Blu-ray disc media at 4x, single layer DVD at 12x, dual-layer at 8x and CD at 32x maximum.

According to Gizmowatch, the external Blu-ray drive can only play user-recorded high-def content from a digital camcorder, but not commercial movies released under the Blu-ray Drive format. This is due to the copy protection issues and lagging software development. One reason is due to commercial content is encrypted with High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) which can be decrypted using a HDCP-compliant graphics card that offers DVI or HDMI connections. And currently in the market, PCs with graphics chips that support HDCP are not available yet, so making it impossible to play the commercial content. Another reason is the Blu-ray disc playback software that can decrypt HDCP isn’t declared as saleable item yet.

Anyway, there is no word on the price and when it hits the street for this first external USB Blu-rayd drive.

There are some very unique companions for the Macbook Air. Besides, the Macbook paper, we have Macbook Fire, Water and Earth here. They seem to make up a perfect line of the five elements that commonly used in Feng Shui.

The Macbook Earth is surely the greenest laptop ever on earth. Its cover and almost everywhere excepts the keyboard are all grown with green grasses. It has no electrical cord, which the intention is to save power. The main power source will be from the wind and sun. It’s equipped with a phosphorescent screen that consumes extremely tiny power only. The chassis is made up of durable clay which makes it 100% biodegradable. Well, when the time to upgrade, you can just burry it in your garden which its body will contribute certain fat to soil of your garden.

macbook-water-310108.jpg

The Macbook Water needs only you to possess the bottle that contains it. You’ll need to pour it out of the bottle, water molecules form its body lying flat on your desk, which you can then start typing on its watery QWERTY. The unique watery technology has a cool Apple “i” brand name called iFluid. Be sure not to store the Macbook Water under the freezing point else will void its warranty.
macbook-fire-310108.jpgMacbook Fire: The processing speed is hellishly fast that causes the entire laptop on fire. But no worry, it comes with a pair of gloves which is fire-proofed so you can wear it and start typing on it’s extremely hot QWERTY. Of course, the laptop itself is to stand the test of fire as the body is built with heat-resistant material and the display is made with durable welding glass to protect your eyes.

Well, what do you think all these cool concepts to win over the popularity of the MacBook Air?

Innovation always brings us great gadgets. I think the Wi-Fi has already changed our lives by changing how we work on our computers. Now it is the time for the beloved memory cards.

We know that we already have many new digital cameras with in-built wi-fi technology. What about the old ones without this capability? Can we bring the wi-fi to them? I think we can now say there is a solution. Thanks to Eye-Fi, they have just introduced the world’s first wi-fi memory card.
Eye-Fi Wi-Fi Memory Card
You will be amazed to learn that this tiny card has wi-fi technology built in to it. First you have set-up the wifi card using the accompanying USB card reader (one time process), and then you can easily share your photos wirelessly without taking it out from your camera.
How Eye-Fi Card Works
The Wi-Fi card takes the power from the device to generate wi-fi signals. You can even set-up this card to automatically upload photos to your favorite online picture sharing website.

From Eye-Fi Press Release:

“Digital cameras have made it extremely easy to take pictures, but the rest of the process is a hassle,” said Jef Holove, chief executive officer of Eye-Fi. “The Eye-Fi Card removes the barriers and lets users get to the fun part of sharing and printing their memories. We’re putting the magic back into photography.”

Eye-Fi uses home wireless networks to eliminate the time-consuming chore of dealing with cables, card readers or software plug-ins associated with uploading photos. Users simply turn on their digital camera and their pictures are wirelessly uploaded. The Eye-Fi card works with existing and new SD-compatible digital cameras and stores photos like a conventional SD memory card.

The eye-fi card can be used in any device that supports regular SD cards. It allows you to store up to 2GB of data. This card allows you to connect to wi-fi /b/g/n networks and supports latest wifi security protocols.

Here are the technical specs:

  • Memory: 2GB
  • Connectivity: Wi-Fi b/g/n
  • Security Protocols Supported: WEP 40/104/128, WPA-PSK, and WPA2-PSK
  • Range: 90+ feet outdoors and 45+ feet indoors
  • Card Dimensions: SD standard 32mm x 24mm x 2.1mm
  • Setup: Using USB Card Reader

The wireless card comes with USB card reader and the Eye-Fi manager software that allows you to easily setup this card to your home wi-fi network.
