philips-xenium-99j-super-long-battery-life-uses-standard-aaa-batteries-020308.jpg

Have you ever wanted a handphone that does not run out of batteries. No way you are going to get one unless it is solar powered and even so I am not so sure when it will be made available. But here is one that runs on normal AAA batteries. So when your power is low just go to the nearest 7/11 and get yourself that needed power.

Philips’ latest handset - Xenium 9@9j, which they have demoed at this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona is also another mobile phone that has excellent battery life, which can last more than a month on standby, similar to other Philips cellphones in the 9@9j series. Besides, the long battery life, the cellphone can use standard AAA battery as the alternative power source. This is a great idea, as AAA batteries can be easily obtained from any grocery shops while your phone is running dry of battery during emergency.

Actually, the Philips Xenium 9@9j does not operate on the AAA battery. It uses advanced power management technology that makes use of the standard AAA battery as a backup only to lengthen the life of its Li-Ion battery, which is the battery used for its operation. Once the Li-Ion battery is running out of juice, the standard backup AAA battery will start kicking in and feeding the Li-Ion with power so your phone operation will not be interrupted.

The single AAA battery can boost the talk time and standby time from 2 hours to 8 hours and one week to a month respectively.

This is surely the great news for the ladies and I think that I will surely pass on this info to BabyOpus and NannyJoe and ask them to put up a short writeup on this info as well.. A Smart Bra has been invented by Prof. Elias Siores, which makes use of thermography to detect little changes in temperature of the breast tissue to early find out the possibility of breast cancer before it spreading into surrounding areas. When tumors start to grow, there is a demand for higher blood flow. As a result, temperature will rise which signifies the initial stage of cancerous growth.

smart-bra-to-early-detect-breast-cancer-141007.jpg

The Smart Bra will be equipped with a microwave antennae system, which can easily be woven into fabric. This super tiny atennae will be able to pick up any abnormal change in temperature in the breast tissue. The Smart Bra will also be incorporated with audible and visual alarms, which will emit two warnings to the wearers, audible or visual or both.

Some experts are worrried of the accuracy, which could result many false alarms, as they claim benign growths and nonmalignant inflammatory changes might also increase blood flow that would cause temperature rise too. Anyway, this is surely a great invention, at least there is something to warn you that something unusual is happening in your breasts and you must see the specialist if the warning persists. Prof. Elias Siores is the director of the Centre for Research and Innovation at the University of Bolton in the United Kingdom. I would say that this Professor should in some certin sense be receiving an outstanding ovation for such a find and creation. Always thinking about the health issues of the human kind. By the way isnt the picture great.

It’d be always exciting for parents who’re expecting a child to get to listen to the heartbeat of the baby inside the mother’s womb. Well, I haven’t got such an experience yet, so I won’t be able to tell you how exciting it is. Here comes the Fetal Doppler, a gadget that lets you amplify the heartbeat of the baby inside your womb so you can listen clearly to his or her little heartbeat anytime you want, without having to visit a doctor.

To use it, just plug in any or the included 3.5mm headphones or earphones to the device and attach the device on your stomach then you can listen to the heartbeat of your little baby. Besides, you can record it down to share with others. Anyway, this device is only legal in the EU, it’s restricted in the US unless order by physician. Do check out of your local laws before thinking of getting one.

This first blog of mine on the parenting healthcare gadgets is dedicated to BabyOpus and her never ending blogging answers for all your parenting guidelines towards a healthy happy baby.

Sexy Solar Outfit

Women seem to want more gadgets carried around while they’re on the road. Some designers have some kind of crazy thought of incorporating the gadgetry functionalities into dress or suit e.g. the solar bikini that lets you charge your gadgets while you’re lying down enjoying sun bath on the beach. Here comes a dress for the women, which I bet you wouldn’t dare to put it on you. The Day-for-Night solar dress is made up of 448 white circuit boards and with little sexiness added, which is a dress that would eventually carry all the functionalities for every gadget for the ladies.

You’ll notice in the picture above, the dress is made up of many small titles. Which each of them is specially designed to accommodate a solar cell, a RGB LED, or a photocell, and jumper connectors (in the form of 0 Ohm resistors). And a control board is concealed within, which provides power and communicates with the tiles and link to a computer via RF. The titles can be removed or added to adjust its sexiness (or length). Both the software and hardware of the dress are made in modular, which means you can add on more modules to extend its power. It’s some more programmable via your computer’s USB port to extend its functionalities.

Isn’t it pitiful having to carry many of the circuit boards that add so much burden to the ladies? But anyways the girls who wear this kinda shows off quite a bit of their body at the same time. So offer a lot of females to wear this dress with the idea that it will help with the environment and you will be rewarded “) .

I remember the time when I was very young and loved LEGO so much. Hell I wont lie to you I still love it. But cant afford the types of LEGO that I love today. Coming with its own intelligence chip and motors to make it move it is surely the adults toy of the future. For you other LEGO freaks out there here is a LEGO trick to create your own scanner as below .

lego-milk-webcam-make-up-a-scanner-260108.jpg

A DIY project for building a scanner. The ingredients that make up the scanner are a webcam, some Lego bricks and milk. Milk? What does milk have to do with the scanner here? Lets look at how it’s built. The Lego bricks used to hold a webcam. The webcam is positioned to look down on a plastic box, where the object to be scanned is placed. And milk is used to fill up the plastic box slowly in order to provide the object a high-contrast background.

I’d want to be like Mario, stomping 1-up mushrooms in the wild, if those mushrooms would splash gold coins once get stomped. The 1-up mushroom shown to you here is meant to hold coins. It’s a bank, a piggy bank that lets you store all your hard earned coins in it. It’s the best piggy bank for the plumber to store up all his coins after a hard day or of hacking bricks and the plumbing work.

The Super Mario Mushroom Bank comes in two flavors, which are the 1UP Mushroom and Super Mushroom. It’s recommended you store up 100 coins for yourself to gain an extra life. Kinda like this toy bank at the same time it reminds me of my childhood when I am not able to let go of my Atari set which offers the Mario Brothers game.

I would play day in and day out just to reach the Dragon Monster in the end. Although I have done it time and time over again but each time you learn something new.

loc8tor-lite-finds-everdays-lost-230108.jpg

How often that you misplace stuff that you’ll have to search high and low to look for it? For us, nowadays, seem to be getting more and more forgetful, it’s time to depend on some high-tech solution to help locate your stuff around. This credit card-sized gadget, Loc8tor Lite is the latest member from the Loc8tor family. Like other members, it uses GPS technology to help you locate almost everything that has the homing tag attached to it. The gadget comes with two tags, but you’ll surely need more than two as you’re having more than two important everyday objects around. But no worry, additional tags can be purchased.

The Loc8tor uses audio and visual cues to point and guide you to the exact location of the missing tagged item, which could be stuffed down the sofa or you’ve left behind in a shop. It takes only minutes to lead you up to an inch/2.5cm close to the lost item, whether you’re outdoor or indoor, in complete darkness or in a noisy room. To find your item, turn around in a full circle then walk in the direction of the strongest signal shown on the handheld – It’s as easy as that!!

If you are looking for something that does not make so much noise head over to eBay and search for AndlyGold he is selling some Glow In Dark keychains that will blow your mind off. These keychains only needs light in the daytime and are able to shine like 8 hours at night without any other light source.

Gotta Start Making Money Soon

Hey guys . In my last few posts I was talking about thinking of setting up shop right here on If Only I Had It and I would be selling electronical gadgets, gizmos and stuff like that. Of course there will be a discount for users of this blog but the biggest discounts woould go to the top commentors. I was even thinking of giving a free USD 500 voucher to the person that makes the most comment in a month to purchase anything from the shop.

I know what ecommerce software that I am going to use it should be Adshop Commerce. But is there anyone of you who would think that there is anything else better out there ? I guess not. Would anyone like to be joining me to create this oppurtunity. No money involved just time and effort on your part. You should also know how to be able to write php scripts and well versed with shopping carts.

I wont be paying any salary but you will be getting a cut from the profits which you are able to see everyday through shared admin panel. You see by using adshop commerce’s shopping cart there are a lot of things that we are able to do and I have my mind filled up with ideas right to the brim but I would need some help to make sure everything goes smoothly.

One of my ideas is that a member of If Only I Had It would be able to donate USD 25 to its growth fund and is allowed to spin a wheel filled with electronical goodies the cheapest being a laser gun pointer from wicked lasers .  This would attract a lot of users but I would want the stock to be taken out from the ecommerce shopping cart each time an item goes out so that we dont run on stock.

So far I have done some php scripting which will allow this integration. And I have seen some other people doing something similar with adshop ecommerce. If you are good at it please do help me out. Until then good luck to me and hope that you would be coming back daily to watch out for the new redesigned If Only I Had It.

Ever thought that your iPhone has reached its limits in softwares and its uses. Now there is such a software that will blow your mind especially if you are a guitarist.

I love playing the guitar sometimes love songs and most of the times oldies. But playing heavy metal is and has always been something that I wanted to learn but it is difficult with the guitars that I have now. Owning an iPhone has always made me think that I am the best geek in town with the latest iPhone but today it has really blown me out of my seat.

The software called PocketGuitar, makes your iPhone to work like a guitar, developed as a Google Code project by a guy called Shinya Kasatani. Before I forget, the software works for iPod Touch too. You can also download the songs that you’ve produced during your long guitar sessions onto an iPod for play back.
