Just wanted to share this with everyone. It has been quite a while now since I have been to a musical. The last one I went for was Saturday Night Fever. I was skeptical when I was told that I am getting two VIP invites to the prestigious In Perferct harmony by DAMA Orchestra in conjunction with the Stars 40th Birthday.
In Perfect Harmony is a musical concert produced by the Dama Orchestra. It is a musical journey which takes the audience through the musical landscape of our country during the past four decades. On the journey we remember our differences and celebrate our diversity. We remember our dream and vision of a land of harmony, understanding and laughter. We applaud our achievements and learn from our mistakes. And we never lose the ability to laugh at ourselves. Laugh with our brethren. Malay, Chinese, Indian, Kadazan, Dusun and all the other more than 100 ethnic groups that make up this glorious land we all call home. Malaysia.
But at the end of the day In Perfect Harmony is a musical concert. A show. And we all take away from it what we wish to. Such is the democracy of theatre. And the liberty of the audience.
It was just an incredible show. At first when I found out that the narrator would be Patrick Teoh I was thinking that hell yeah this is gonna be just another Actor’s Studio production… Sorry Patrick … But he was good.. Age has caught up with him and he is getting better every time…
This is Patrick together with Lim who is the comedian of the show.. I went through nearly fourty years of Malaysian history in this show. It was just perfect. reminding me the days when I was young.. Although I am not that old.
I had the chance to see Dato David Arumugam who sang 3 songs for us including his famous hit song… By the way did I tell you that I went for The Star corporate night.. The food was good too…
Sorry I cant provide you with more pictures as we were not allowed to take any photo’s.. There were green lasers shooting from everywhere during the show even though no one was taking photos but just answering their sms.
All in all this is a production that I dont mind going for again.. Just cant afford it …..
