An ultra small prototyped PC, which might not be the world’s smallest, but it could be the lightest, has been revealed by Lenovo at CES 2008 last week. The ultra small prototyped PC weighs only 300g and it employs the “Menlow” - the new platform that Intel Corp is planning to launch in 2008. The ultra small PC runs Linux as the OS. It targets startup time of 20 seconds with easy menu icons for internet ,entertainment, and Home are to be displayed on the startup screen.

The specifications of the ultra small PC at a glance is as follows:

It is equipped with 45nm process “Silverthorne (development code name)” microprocessor, a 4 or 8-Gbyte SSD and a 4.8-inch 800 x 480 resolution LCD display. A wireless LAN, Bluetooth and EDGE or TDS-CDMA are supported. Continuous operation of the embedded secondary battery extends to 4 hours when browsing Websites

Lenovo targets to release this small guy in China in mid 2008. And the pricing will be around $700 with tax included. And Lenovo has plans to move this little guy to other countries such as Japan.
