You have to take an active part in updating your blog on a regular basis, and another good source of content is contributions from your readers. Run Contests: Keeping your blog fresh and interactive is definitely a challenge, but not for someone who is ready to try out various creative ways to enhance their blog. For example, you can hold regular contests on your blog, which could be for anything -best guest post, best photo submission, interesting topic suggestion, etc. The winner doesn’t have to expect a huge payoff for the contest to be popular; just give away something that offers some genuine value. A good part of keeping your blog fresh is getting your visitors to take part in activities, and a contest can be an effective way to do this.

Breaks Are Okay: You need to be productive in your blog writing, but you are also allowed to not post something when your heart just isn’t in it. Most of the blogging platforms out there have a system where you can schedule posts, why not take advantage of this feature? There are times when the juices will just be flowing, so try to get your blog posts created but the save a few for the future when you might be in a dry period. You can then schedule these posts for the days you want to publish them or just let them remain “unpublished” as a backup for those days when you don’t feel like writing. It’s a good idea to create your posts one week in advance, so that you’re ahead of your schedule and can have some peace of mind. You’ll see that your productivity doubles up when you don’t have the pressure of time on you.
