Hmm, this would make a whole difference experience of standing around a luggage carousel at the airport waiting for your bags. Hopefully our bags arrive intact or worse? Can this be ever made true in our commercial world? If it was true think how much it can be where we don’t need much money to spend on fuel or even maintains.

This invention was made possible by China’s Leon Zhu who came up with this innovative yet simple way to collect solar energy. A street light powered by waste seems like a strange idea but if you think about the ratio between city trash and energy needs, things start to make sense.

This street light can composts any waste and uses the methane by-product as a fuel to power the lamps. The compost can then be retrieved to re-green our cities. A wonderful idea but how much trash can it take keep such a system going?
