philips-xenium-99j-super-long-battery-life-uses-standard-aaa-batteries-020308.jpg

Have you ever wanted a handphone that does not run out of batteries. No way you are going to get one unless it is solar powered and even so I am not so sure when it will be made available. But here is one that runs on normal AAA batteries. So when your power is low just go to the nearest 7/11 and get yourself that needed power.

Philips’ latest handset - Xenium 9@9j, which they have demoed at this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona is also another mobile phone that has excellent battery life, which can last more than a month on standby, similar to other Philips cellphones in the 9@9j series. Besides, the long battery life, the cellphone can use standard AAA battery as the alternative power source. This is a great idea, as AAA batteries can be easily obtained from any grocery shops while your phone is running dry of battery during emergency.

Actually, the Philips Xenium 9@9j does not operate on the AAA battery. It uses advanced power management technology that makes use of the standard AAA battery as a backup only to lengthen the life of its Li-Ion battery, which is the battery used for its operation. Once the Li-Ion battery is running out of juice, the standard backup AAA battery will start kicking in and feeding the Li-Ion with power so your phone operation will not be interrupted.

The single AAA battery can boost the talk time and standby time from 2 hours to 8 hours and one week to a month respectively.

My heart cries out but my wallet cries even louder. Is this handphone in anyway beautiful? The simplicity kills me. It is beautiful. Because it will leave a mark in my wallet when I get it. This handphone costs about 1500 Pounds Sterling.

Mobiado has produced an overly expensive cellphone with average features for average men, which carries a whopping price tag of £1,500. The only uniqueness of this cellphone is its body is made of the same materials that make up airplanes. Other than this it comes with pretty average features that you can find on any other cellphone. The phone is called “Stealth”. The phone has a pretty old fashion body and the keypad seems to be not so friendly for your fingers.

The Stealth runs on Symbian Series 40 technology. It’s got a 2.0-megapixel camera that is capable of 8x digital zoom, a QVGA 262,144 colour screen with 320×240 pixels, Bluetooth, is tri-band GSM network enabled and features the usual music and media player. The internal memory is poorly low, which is 6MB and it comes with an included microSD card of 64MB. Of course, since it’s equipped with microSD slot, you can then purchase card with much higher capacity to store your media.

What else can you ask of iPhone. First it was the piano then came the guitar and now it is the drums.

drummer-application-iphone-and-ipod-touch-drumming-anywhere-prepares-your-career-to-be-a-pro-drummer-010308.jpg

The drum machine application on iPhone was developed by MooTheCow, and he gave it a simple name called “Drummer”. Besides, iPhone, it runs on iPod Touch too. Drummer allows you to play up to 15 unique audio samples (one on each finger touch pad). Similar to other musical apps on the Appe gadgets, it takes the advantage of the multi-touch capabilities, so you can play up to five sounds at once. And also, it allows you to play along with MP3. It comes with pre-installed sound sets including Rock, Dance, Electro and Jazz. You can also update with your own sample sounds easily.

Anyway, this drummer app is still on its BETA version, which is still unavailable for download for a try on your jailbroken iPhone yet. But you can get yourself prepared by reading more on MooCowMusic, keep an eye on it and be the first one to get when it gets released.

I am intending to go for a holiday soon and I wanted it to be a resort style affair with hours long on the beach sunbathing and maybe going for fishing. My old sunglasses are not in style anymore although they are top brand and cost me a bomb so I thought I would have a go finding something to buy from the internet.

I came across this website which not only sells quality products but the price of the frames and the glasses are unbelievably cheap. I thought they must be kidding about the price then I read on to find out that the only reason this site is selling the glasses cheap is because they do not go through any middle man sales person or companies. They sell their products directly to their customers without going through all this sales and promo trick which makes their prices low due to no influx from these people.

Best thing found : Zenni Optical not only sells frames and glasses but they also sell sunglasses and multiple other types of services that I never knew could be that cheap or even be able to get so easily. Their main product Zenni Optical $8 Rx Glasses itself shows how good and how cheap buying from them could be. Go ahead to their website and you could already see all the types of frames and glasses they have.

All I can say is that it is a great discovery : Zenni Optical .

philips-shb9000-bluetooth-headset.jpg

Have you ever seen a headset this beautiful. Philips announced this baby at the CES and it promises to bring sound quality from your mobile music playing handsets as well as clear calls through a wireless Bluetooth connection. Isnt this cool or not. The SHB9000 Bluetooth headset features 40mm neodymium speakers and native MP3 decoding which according to Philips makes the sound quality the “best-ever”.

Be that as it may, the headphones also have SwitchStream letting you switch between incoming calls and music seamlessly, and also offer a subtle “side-tone” that lets you hear your own voice while talking on the phone as you would normally without wearing headphones. If you’ve ever talked on the phone while wearing over-the-ear headphones like these you’ll appreciate this feature. They also will auto adjust the volume based on surrounding noise and filter out background noises and echoes.

I would suggest this gadget for all us geek freaks that wants the latest in technology. By the way I was also thinking of setting up shop on this blog. What do you guys think. Will you buy stuff from here. The idea is simple I write about the latest gadget or gizmo that I am able to find and then I will be able to let you guys to buy them at very discounted prices that I am able to get. Maybe I would put it up on my other website or maybe in my other blogs I am not sure what to do. Well let me know your opinions by leaving a comment. And if you did not notice the comment is now link loved so go ahead sumit your urls for your backlinks.

vibrating Bluetooth braceletIt’s important to always stay alert with the incoming calls on our cellphones. I think you may have been into the situation that your significant other kept calling you for several times and you never noticed the calls and you two finally ended up with a big quarrel? Even though you’ve set your cellphone on vibration mode but sometime you’ll leave it away from you, so you can’t feel the vibration either.

Anyway, here comes a vibrating Bluetooth bracelet from LM Technologies, which you can strap it on your wrist or your ankle to keep you highly aware of the incoming calls by vibrating. Having this bracelet, you can even leave your cellphone more than 5 meters away from you.

Making of Moller M400 SkyCar at risk of being discontinued?
When I first heard of flying car, I knew that it wouldn’t be that easy to build one, and finally we wouldn’t get any solid one in the market. How many times, we’ve heard the delay or uncertainty of release of these flying vehicles before?

Moller International Inc., a company that is developing the flying car, Moller M400 SkyCar, seems to be in a financial deep shit that will jeopardize the completion of their M400 flying car. The company nows has run up more than $40.5 million in accumulated deficits. They have even auctioned the M400 prototype on eBay with a 3.5 million dollar minimum bid, hoping to generate some money for its debts.

The M400 is a flying car that relies on a computer controlled autopilot, and 8 new rotary engines which rotate for a change in axis of flight from forward to hover. Behind all these great engines and system, what you need is a strong financial support.

The company is now desperately looking for other sources of funds or loans. In the event that the company fails to source such funds or loans, the M400 will most likely be discontinued!
