What a cool GPS device but it is also a phone. When you think of Garmin, definitely you’ll relate it with GPS devices. But now, Garmin has a role to play in the cellphone or smart phone market. Their newly announced smart phone, nüvifone, is a phone equipped well with all the GPS functions that you will surely need in a big city in order not to go missing. Some people claim this Garmin’s new smart phone looks like iPhone because of the touch screen UI resembles what iPhone has.

The nüvifone smartphone supports full-fledged GSM HSDPA, runs on its own properitary OS and of course loaded with GPS navigation as the core. Besides, it’s also equipped with email and web browsing functionalities and also a built-in camera (Does it support geo-tagging?). It sports a 3.5-inch LCD display. And equipped with wireless capabilities including WiFi and Bluetooth.

Other eatures at a glance

• Google local search
• Garmin Online services - traffic, weather, fuel prices, hotel discounts, etc.
• nuvi-like navigation on the road or in pedestrian mode
• Email, text, IM functions
• Camera, video camera, MP3 and MPEG4/AAC

No info on the pricing and carrier. But Garmin promises to deliver it in the 3rd quarter and says the PND market is not dying yet and the phone sure will have a role to play.

office-collar-010208.jpg

Dont know who invented this most probably the Japanese with their hardcore working ethics. This collar is used to make sure that you stay focused on your job and nothing else. Maybe it was invented by the boss of this guy who is always distracted by that hot looking new secretary the boss just hired.

I remember the time when I was very young and loved LEGO so much. Hell I wont lie to you I still love it. But cant afford the types of LEGO that I love today. Coming with its own intelligence chip and motors to make it move it is surely the adults toy of the future. For you other LEGO freaks out there here is a LEGO trick to create your own scanner as below .

lego-milk-webcam-make-up-a-scanner-260108.jpg

A DIY project for building a scanner. The ingredients that make up the scanner are a webcam, some Lego bricks and milk. Milk? What does milk have to do with the scanner here? Lets look at how it’s built. The Lego bricks used to hold a webcam. The webcam is positioned to look down on a plastic box, where the object to be scanned is placed. And milk is used to fill up the plastic box slowly in order to provide the object a high-contrast background.

I’d want to be like Mario, stomping 1-up mushrooms in the wild, if those mushrooms would splash gold coins once get stomped. The 1-up mushroom shown to you here is meant to hold coins. It’s a bank, a piggy bank that lets you store all your hard earned coins in it. It’s the best piggy bank for the plumber to store up all his coins after a hard day or of hacking bricks and the plumbing work.

The Super Mario Mushroom Bank comes in two flavors, which are the 1UP Mushroom and Super Mushroom. It’s recommended you store up 100 coins for yourself to gain an extra life. Kinda like this toy bank at the same time it reminds me of my childhood when I am not able to let go of my Atari set which offers the Mario Brothers game.

I would play day in and day out just to reach the Dragon Monster in the end. Although I have done it time and time over again but each time you learn something new.

trev-three-wheeled-green-car-meant-for-urban-trips-only-230108.jpg

Trev is a three-wheeled environmentally friendly car, a product out of several years of effort by the students at the University of South Australia. Trev is ideal as a commuter vehicle. It consumes only 1/5 of the energy required by a conventional car, which relies on electricity as the only power source. Trev weighs only 595 pounds, has two seats only and can drive up to 93 city miles without having to be recharged.

Trev is equipped with only two seats as it’s meant for urban use, as most urban trips are made with one or two people in the car. The top speed of the Trev is only 75 MPH, which seems to be pretty limited for urban trips. Anyway, it’s still a prototype, which still has couple of rooms for improvement.

I hope that this car really gets into the market and fast. It looks so cool and especially the fact that it is Green is such a crowd attraction that it will surely give me some girls :0 .. Man I have goosebumps thinking about it already.

Ever thought that your iPhone has reached its limits in softwares and its uses. Now there is such a software that will blow your mind especially if you are a guitarist.

I love playing the guitar sometimes love songs and most of the times oldies. But playing heavy metal is and has always been something that I wanted to learn but it is difficult with the guitars that I have now. Owning an iPhone has always made me think that I am the best geek in town with the latest iPhone but today it has really blown me out of my seat.

The software called PocketGuitar, makes your iPhone to work like a guitar, developed as a Google Code project by a guy called Shinya Kasatani. Before I forget, the software works for iPod Touch too. You can also download the songs that you’ve produced during your long guitar sessions onto an iPod for play back.

Every blogger out there is trying to get paid to blog from writing reviews of other peoples blogs or companies and their products. Havent you had enough of this. Dont you know that you are supposed to make your blog better as time goes go. Start advertising yourself.

To advertise on blogs the best bet is to go to Smorty. Although many of us bloggers would find Smorty a little reluctant to give out much money to bloggers but that is the good part for us advertisers. Only quality blogs would be chosen and most of the time very good ones will pick up your advertising bid.

For an example. You are trying to get a link to a PR 7 site but it cost too much. Try advertising and see how this PR7 site picks it up anytime of the day. Some people have used Google ads to achieve this but dont forget this would only work on banner rotation. What you want is a permanent link.

I tried to make money from using Smorty services before but after a couple of months I got frustrated then only I saw the light. Why did I not get that many jobs. Because the blog I put up to Smorty is relatively new. While my old blogs have tonnes of jobs per day and it is a PR 6 . Hmm.. But the payment for most of these jobs are the same eventhough my PR is high. Well it is up to me whether I want to take up the job or not. But one has to live thus the job is taken and the advertiser gets a link to a PR6 site for the price of a PR2.

Smart huh. Trying this technique out myself before writing here I can say that the results have been very good. Within 2 weeks I have noticed that my backlinks were coming from very reputable blogs with high PR juice. And traffic started to flow as well.

Try it out yourself and see how this works. If you like this idea do leave a few comments down below for my comments are filled with linklove.

Holiday Of My Life

468x60.gif

Recently I went to Madrid to get the best Holiday of my life. Or was it ? Although the place was like heaven and the atmosphere was like having multiple orgasms but the pocket was dry. How could this have happen to me I wonder. Well the flight ticket cost me a bomb and the hotel stay was like wow.. And my wallet was nearly dry on the second day of landing there.

Once I was back home I was tired frustrated yet happy. Happy because at leat I could go there frustrated because I could not buy much things to show and give to family and friends. It took my 3 months salary just to spend on the hotel and flight I tell them.

Then what got me angrier was my colleague. He told me to go to a website to check out if I used their services how much would I have saved. Hmm.. being skeptical because I bought this package on a fair and thought it was cheap I tried the website and what I see , I could have saved about 40% more using their services.

The hotels were cheaper priced. Iven if I stayed in a resort it still would have been cheaper. And if I stayed in a motel the cost would have been maybe 1/4 of the price I spent. Well then I thought that it would be difficult to use their services so I just tried out for fun.

Their Hotel Reservations was like a breeze. Still skeptical I tried to email them and got an answer fast. How could I have been so dumb not to have used their services. Being an arrogant person as I am I scolded my friend for not giving me this informatiopn earlier. Hahahahhaha..

Well I thank him for this information. I have just booked a visit to Canada and the cost was incredibly affordable. Just to make sure that such a thing does not happen to any of my other friends I am here today to tell you this. Check them out. Try their website navigation. Try to book a place or too. See how much more you can save. Now plan your next holiday. How much would you have spent before trying them out. See how much you saved ? Now go to paypal and give me that money that you have saved..

Just kidding. Save the money and enjoy yourself on your holiday dont feel afraid to spend when you go on your holiday because you have already saved a lot on your accommodation and flight. Regards.
